The Apple iPad mail app won’t open to show my mail

I had previously deleted my Mail app. When I try to download it again it asks for an account. It doesn’t matter which account I put in it says that it already is in there. But I can’t go any further the App wont open so I can see my mail.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1.4
