Sending automated Midi events from Mainstage

I have a function I'm trying to track down in Mainstage3. I'm using Mainstage to run a series of tracks for my show using the Playback Plugin. At certain times during the show, I need to send Midi commands to the effects processors, mixer, and lighting software at (Bar:Beat). This send can either be via Midi proper or via USB, but USB would be preferred. I have Logic Pro X, so if this needs to be set up there then transferred over I can do it.
