iMac 2017 i7 performance after upgrading memory

Hi,

I just upgraded my new iMac 2017 i7 1 TB SSD from Apple 8 GB ram to Crucial 64 GB, I did notice improving in booting, but other tasks have underperformed I realize, is it possible? is there a proper test which I can run on iMac which reflects right memory performance?

Why is my 2015 Late model wirh one Terabyte (one Drive) iMac as slow as old eMacs nearly- 50 to access memory it has DRAM but thought it was only for olderlow access not all-its all-its too slow to me doing an IMAC work needed one with flash I fear DO I neeed to get a new iMac to have sw run fairly well this is terribly slow underpowered to access memory at 50 nanosec DRAM best speed for programs loading instructions its seems absurdly slow to sell with memory access that is so much worse than flash that its more of a legacy door stop (no offense meant but the memory arbitration is) than a machine!

Upgrade iMac 21.5 mid 2011, 2.7 ghz intel core i5 After a helpful discussion in another post I have managed to make a little better the delay and be able to work at least also it is concluded that it may help to upgrade Ram https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Apple/imac-(21*5-and-27-inch,-mid-2011)-imac12,1-12,2 anothe idea of mine is maybe if I add ssd it may help so what do you suggest? A) ram shall I add one or two of 4gb or 8gb better new ram and have 16 or 32gb or it is ok if I keep the old 4 go and b) ssd i look forward for your advice Lena
