Question: Problem with contacts on Iphone/Icloud

Okay, so I have an iphone. I got extra space (200gb) in icloud so I could back up all pertinent files from my pc. Problem is that it backed up my contacts in outlook (on my pc) and now my phone has ALL of my outlook contacts in it, pretty much everyone I've ever sent an email to. Is there an easy way to separate these contacts so that I only have my outlook contacts on my phone and to make sure that doesn't happen again? Any help is appreciated.

You can turn off contact synching per device.

For iPhone Tap System | Then your Account name at top | then iCloud

Move the Contacts switch to off. It will not un-sync but it won't continue to synch. You'll have to manually delete the contacts you don't want.

First off, thank you for your reply.

Secondly, if I switch off contact synching on my windows pc and keep it on the iphone, then if I understand you right, it will keep my iphone contacts backed up but not my windows pc/outlook contacts. Is that correct?
