Dictation in Pages I have MACOS Monterey, and Pages 12.1 I initiated dictation by the Apple > Preferences > keyboard > dictation. Page's Dictation worked briefly, but now does not. I cannot get rid of the microphone icon on my screen. I've tried the two alternatives of "automatic" and "internal". Neither makes a difference. I've restarted computer a couple times - no change. In Pages > Edit; there is supposed to be a choice of "dictation." But dictation is not listed in the "edit" drop down menu. What else can I do to get dictation to work; or, alternatively how do I get rid of the microphone icon on my screen?

External microphone not working during the dictation feature My external microphones are not activating when I start the dictation feature. I tried changing outputs in settings, under sound and keyboard. But without success. Even the AUX microphone option does not activate or work When using dictation. Every time I double click the Apple command button to Activate the dictation feature, it automatically only uses the microphone on the keyboard. What can I do?

How can I turn my Mac Book microphone off? How can I turn my Mac Book microphone off? I have ticked the ‘mute’ box and set volume to zero in the Midi player, set Keyboard Dictation to off, set the Sound Pref microphone slider to zero input and output, but when I go to Dictation again the microphone icon still shows sound being input.
