touch screen not working. tried resetting - still doesn't work. help!

If you followed all of the steps in the support document that you linked to the forum with, the last one is to contact Apple Support. You can use the link at the top right of the pages here, or you can make a Genius Bar appointment at the nearest Apple Store to have the device examined by Apple. Contacting Apple support can also give you the option for mail-in service.
