Question: Trying to remove VIP folders

Iwant to delete/remove the VIP folder in the sidebar. I have followed the directions from numerous people and non works. When I went into the libray and searched the mail I found the viplists which I deleted. One difference is a folder labeled V5 not V2 as in the instructions. I am running High Sierra fully up to date on a MacBook Pro. Any help is appreciated.

That is a smart Mailbox that's part of the Mail app and can't be deleted.

Read this article Find emails from VIP senders in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

If you click on finder > Go > hold option key > library > mail > V5 folder is in Mac OS high Sierra 10.13 .3

The entire mails data is stored in mail folder .And you must not delete the V5 folder into the trash , as mail application can malfunction .

V2 folder was in previous version for Mac OSX Yosemite .
