health app not refreshing

The built-in Health App, does not refresh instantly while walking. It takes anywhere between 20-45 mins to update. The purpose of the app is to see how much distance you covered while walking/jogging! You can't even slide it to refresh... Please FIX? (I phone 6S with latest ios)

ARRRGH! Every 12 minutes is NOT sufficient Apple! In iOS15, the Health app fails to update continually as it has for the past several iOS iterations. It is updating every 10–12 minutes and my walks are now really off. GRRRR! If this is an attempt to save battery life, let US CHOOSE to have the app go offline for over 1/2 mile at a pop. iPhone Health App distance is wrong Is there a way to fix the Health app being wildly off for distance? On October 21, 2022, the Health app stopped recording distance correctly. I know distance and steps are recorded differently, but stride calculated as distance divided by number of steps should be a reasonable value. Up to October 20, 2022, I was getting a consistent 26-27 inch stride. Since October 21, 2022, it has changed to a 7 inch stride. A plot is attached. I am certain my stride has not changed and I have not changed any settings on my iPhone or in the Health app.
