Question: I can no longer synch from iMac photos to photos on my iPhone

I used to be able to attach my iPhone to my iMac and synch photos from the Photos app to photo albums on my iPhone. I have done something that now only allows me to synch from a folder on my iMac to the iPhone. What could it be?

How are you trying to sync? What are your iCLoud settings on the Phone - you may have iCloud Photo Library enabled on the phone and if youo do you can not import or synce any way except using ICPL on the Mac too - it needs to on on both or off on the phone

I found the problem. In Photos preferences >General > library Location I had "use as system photo library" clicked on.

When I turned it off (grayed out). the problem went away.

Thanks for your help.
