Help needed with Documents in Finde

Question asked 15/03/2018.. iPhone 6 forums regarding slight issue with my documents folder in finder.


Question……..

Good day to all. Could I have some advice on the finder left column Please.Do I need Documents and Folder named David Williams or should all my documents be in one place not using both.

Would it be okay to delete the folder called David and have all documents in the Documents folder. under the Desktop on the left.

Also should the Documents folder show in user?. This MacBook is all new to me have come from windows 10.

The Sidebar in Finder is all aliases, so you can choose to remove any folder folder you like. You can also move nay folder you like to the Sidebar by dragging it there and it will create an alias. Also in the Finder menu > Preferences you can select from among the groups.
