Question: App & Website passwords not syncing between iOS devices

When I go into Settings > Accounts & Passwords > App & Website Passwords on my iPhone and my iPad, I see two broadly similar lists, which suggests that at some point, they were synchronising with iCloud just fine.


However, recently, I noticed that new app/website credentials created on my iPhone are not showing on the iPad, and vice versa. This suggests at least one of these devices is no longer syncing with iCloud. I’ve check the iCloud settings on both devices and Keychain is switched to “on“ on both (is Keychain the right feature?).


How can I fix this?

I see that iCloud Keychain isn't syncing application and website passwords between your iPhone and iPad. Good job in making sure iCloud Keychain was on for both of your devices, but you'd like to fix this. I'm happy to help.


Get help with iCloud Keychain -- Review the list in both devices and determine which one you believe is the most up-to-date, first. Then, follow the steps below.

If you can't sync iCloud Keychain with other devices

Make sure that your device is on a Wi-Fi or cellular network. If the connection appears strong, try these steps:

  1. Turn off iCloud Keychain on all devices.
  2. Turn on iCloud Keychain on the device that has the most up-to-date keychain items.
  3. Turn on iCloud Keychain on your other devices. They will be updated with your new iCloud Keychain.


Let me know how that goes.
