I have an iPhone 7 (cracked screen) and i was wondering if i could upgrade to a iPhone 7 Plus or 8 Plus and how much money would that be?? My phone is unlocked, by the way.

We could not possibly give you an estimate here. Screen cracks vary in severity widely.


You might get an idea by a two-step approach:


So naturally you would subtract the cost of repairing the cracked screen from the iPhone 7 Plus value to get your credit amount idea. Then you would add the price of the new iPhone you wish to purchase.

What's your location? And how did it crack?


There's a trade-in program (in different countries) where you would receive an Apple Gift Card that you could use to get a new phone. If the crack is from accidental damage then they would probably make you pay for the repair cost whether or not it's under warranty. This is for the United States:


iPhone Trade-up - Apple


In the United States the trade-in value if in good condition is $275 for an iPhone 7. They would probably also make you pay for the damage, which would be that $149 plus sales tax. If this is acceptable to you then go for it. I don't know if I'd recommend it given that it's maybe a $110 net trade-in value.
