My contacts are not showing up on the icloud

I have my icloud backup on and i have contacts selected and when i sign in to icloud on the computer my contacts are not showing up and i have tried everything. Please help!

If you log in to www.icloud.com from a computer and go to the Contacts app there, those contacts are not related to iCloud Backup. They are synced from a device based on the following settings (and they should sync after any change to a contact whether or not you have Settings > [username] > iCloud > Backup turned on) :

On an iOS device: Settings > [username] > iCloud > Contacts

On a Mac: Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Contacts
