Activation Lock

Hello..

I've got an issue hopefully I can get an answer for. My dad had an Ipad Mini but he passed away back in June of 2016. So I've taken his ipad mini in hopes of using it, I did factory reset as it was never connected to my pc to sync, I'm trying to set it up and at the Activation Lock its asking me to sign into his icloud which I have no idea on his info, is it possible I can use my icloud info and use his ipad mini?
