How to connect 8 channel recorder to USB-C

I have the 2016 MacBook Pro (13" Touch Bar, 4 USB-C ports, Headphone Jack) and I need a way to connect an 8 input, 8 output mixer/audio interface into Logic Pro X to be able to multitrack record (primarily for drums).

I also have the Behringer Xenyx 2222USB mixer but I now know that this being a usb output device is only 2 in 2 out so I need to buy a new desk/audio interface.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Recording Audio via headphone jack I have an old Pioneer DJM400 mixer. I want to record a vinyl mix into my MacBook Pro 14” 2021 running OS Monterey 12. I thought I would just be able to use an RCA to 3.5mm audio jack, but the Mac doesn’t seem to recognise any external input when I plug this in. I’ve read about using a USB sound card adapter. It just seems crazy to me that on a brand new Mac, I still need to buy more equipment to be able to record. Is there a way to do it with just one cable rather than a cable and adapter? Would an RCA to USB-c cable work? Or is the mixer too old and just not compatible? I don’t know. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

How to record from older audio device into 2019 MacBook Pro? I'm trying to record from an older device with a 3.5mm output (headphone) jack into my 2019 MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro has only a speaker jack, no line in, so I'm thinking I need 3.5mm output to USB C input. If not, what do I need (that's affordable; I don't expect to have to do this often)?
