iPod Touch (2g) displays "charging not supported on this device" when docked to iHome36

Is there a way to charge either of my (2) iPod 2g Touches on my iH36?

Maybe a software update or iP touch app that supports charging?

My iPod Touches charge fine through any regular USB charger, as well a JVC car stereo port with iPod supported USB.

My iPod Nanos charge fine through the iH36 port.
