home screen rotation, PLEASE HELP STOP!

Is there any way to stop the home screen (Springboard?) rotation between portrait and landscape?

1. I'm not interested in the Portrait Orientation Lock available in the Control Center.
2. I'm not interested in changing my Settings --> Display & Brightness --> Display Zoom View to Zoomed.

These suggestions are all over the internet, and they are not what I want. I still want the view to rotate in apps, and I do not want the Zoomed view. All I want to do is stop the home screen from rotating to landscape--I want it locked in portrait. Why do companies such as Apple and Google force new "features" on users without options to disable them? This ***** as bad as the d4mn blue dot on Chrome browser tabs.
