trying to log into my apple id

i just brought the iphone X today and trying to log in , a verification error message keeps popping up! i was wondering if someone can tell me why this may be happening and also where do i go from here ?

verification failed "verification failed the application you have selected does not exist." yes my password is correct. I keep getting this error message when trying to sign into my apple ID on my iPhone 10, Icloud and Itunes on my computer. It was working earlier but now it isnt. Hopefully its a system issue and not that someone tried to hack into my account. Glad I'm not the only one having issues with this today I didnt even do an update so this is really stupid.

Verification Failed Question I've read several posts and haven't found anything helpful. I have been getting the following error message, "Verification Failed: An unknown error occurred." when trying to sign back into my my Apple ID on my iPhone. The password and username are correct as I am able to use them on my Mac and iPad without issue. I have tried resetting the password and it still doesn't work on my phone but does on my other devices. I tried entering incorrect passwords on purpose to test and I get a different error message than this one. Thoughts on how to resolve this anyone?
