Question: Apple Watch not counting laps

My watch is not counting my swim laps. I set it to 25 m and can do 8 laps of backstroke and it doesn’t count any of them. I can also do a similar amount of freestyle and it counts minimal metres sometimes doesn’t event account for 1 lap. If however I do breaststroke or sidestroke it counts all. Very frustrating as I don’t want to spend all my session doing breast and side to get to one kilometre. Any suggestions?

Hello susan33,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to track all of your swimming while wearing your Apple Watch. To help with this issue, please restart your Apple Watch and then follow the steps in these Apple resources on calibrating and getting the best accuracy with your Apple Watch.
