After pushing profile some iPhones become unusable

We are managing up to 100 iPhones an iPads with the Profile Manager.

After some changes of the device profile, the profile was pushed automatically to all devices. Some iPhones became unusable. The Exchange-Connector no longer works. About 90% works fine.

What went wrong ?

iPhone: 5 and SE

iOS 10.X.X to 11.2.6

iPhone SE, iOS 11.2.6

More specific:

All iPhones (5, SE and 6) are using the same blueprint containing the registration-, trust-, WiFi- and WPA2-Enterprise profiles. All devices had been prepared an registered with the Apple Configurator 2 running on a MacBook. The Profile Manager manages only one device group:

User uploaded file

If one payload-item changes, this device settings are pushed to all managed device.

About 90% are running fine after receiveing the new setting. 10% are no longer working.

This situation is absolutly inaccaptable.

Greetings

Hello DV-DEzernat,

Thanks for using Apple Communities.

Some profiles are known for modificate the usual operation of the software. So before intalling a Profile, make sure you know all about its functionality. You can try some simple steps for removing the profile, as reset all Settings, and if it doesn't work, Erase all content and data. If still the profile is rooted on you device, you should reset it under DFU mode (you can learn more about Recovery mode and DFU mode in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263

If your profile installed change the firmware of the iOS, it won't work even if you try to reset it under recovery mode (with iTunes). For example: Some profiles are developed for make from an iPhone a sample test one, for placing on sale demonstration.

So if the profile made your iPhone unusable, contact the profile developer for understanding how it changes the software operation, and how to revert that.

With regards, Alefe ****
