Bought the new iPhone 8

Hi yesterday I bought a new iPhone 8

I have some questions about it

There is no more a AUX for head phones instead there is something that looks like a extra speaker but there is no sounds coming from it so I wonder what it is? And what it is good for

The iPhone 8 remains exactly the same as every other iPhone as far s the bottom grills go. One covers a speaker and the other one covers a microphone. All iphones from the original to the iPhone X have that same arrangement on the bottom.
