Stuck on the Connecting to Mac App Store page

Old question that Apple says I need to ask again. Connection is fine, look I'm writing this on the same connection 😐.


Trying to update my Mac, and the App Store screen just sits there for hours: Connecting to the Mac App Store, no error message, and no change.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
