Did the charging cable for your device (macbook/iphone/iwatch, etc.) split?
Just got off the instant chat with Apple to get a new charging cable for my Macbook Pro that is only 4 1/2 months old. It literally sits on an end table here in our family room and the cord already has crimped wires inside it right where it connects to my Mac.
This isn't the only time we've had charging cable problems. At this point I don't think there is a single cable that we have had that hasn't had an issue. The last time I bought a new cable that fit my last Mac and my husbands Air I just went ahead and put an 'electricians heat tube sheath' over the end of it to keep it from doing this again since those replacement cables are not really cheap!!
Anyone else having this problem? I found out they will replace them IF you have Apple Care but if not, you are out of luck and just have to buy a new one. Hey Apple maybe this is why people are buying the cheap cables on Amazon or eBay. If they are going to split (or just stop working like those do) then why pay a ton for them??
APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!! It's easy .... how about just using a better quality rubber for the cables???
