macbook pro early 2015 freezes when plugged into my thunderbolt external display. I am using the high sierra mac os, version 10.13.3. This just started yesterday.

This only happens when connected to external monitors. I have 2 thunderbolt Mac monitors connected. Never happened with Sierra only started with High Sierra. MBP retina display 2015 freezing after Big Sur 11.4 no apps running in background Is there a workaround for this problem? I make sure to close down each day and there are no applications running other than the one in use, i.e. mail freezes all through the day and the only solution so far is to wait for a very long while, or force the machine to restart. thank you.
