we had a power outage. now my Airport Extreme Base Station will not reset. All the ports on the back flash green. the indicator light on the front does not light up amber or green at any time during attempts to restart. Model # A1143

That is a confirmation that either the external or internal power supply is failing.
A replacement power supply might extend the life of the AirPort Extreme, but if the problem is internal, then a new outboard power supply will not do anything to help.

All things considered, an A1143 version of the AirPort Extreme is at least 9 years old, and the average useful life of a router designed for home use is about 5 years, so you have had very good luck with your AirPort.
