AirPods - switching from one device to another

Like all real Apple users, all my devices are Apple.

AirPods, iPad Pro, Iphone, iMac, Apple TV.

When i'am in the office I use my AirPods with all my devices, but it is not comfortable to switch from one device to the other. Imagine I am using Face Time on my iMac and I receive a phone call on my iPhone. If I want to answer the phone call with my AirPods, that are connected to my iMac, I can't. There should be something on the screen that allows me to answer using my AirPods. It could be a simple button that, when pressed does the following:

1) shut off the ringtone

2) connect the AirPods

3) answer the phone call

Same for all other devices. In this way, switching from one device to the other, would be much easier.
