Will Macbook Pro bought in the US have a warranty in the UK?

I intend on buying a Macbook Pro in the US when I go there for the holidays (as it is cheaper). However I'm not sure if any damages or faults with the product will be covered by my local store in the UK. Does anyone have info on this? Much thanks.
