Why doesn't my iMAC recognize my iCloud/Apple password.

My iMAC (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015) with iOS 10.13.3 does not recognize my iCloud/Apple password. I have tried using the verification code and using it to sign in but the iMac still doesn't recognize it. The password works fine on my iPhone and iPad.

my imac will not let me sign in using my password I’ve tried to resent it with my Apple ID and then it asked for my iCloud password. I use my same password as my Apple ID and it won’t work.

Apple ID Login on new MacBook saying iPhone/ipad password incorrect when trying to login When I try to log in to my apple ID on a new MacBook, it asks for computer password, iCloud password, etc. When I have to type in my iphone or iPad password it says it is incorrect, despite me being able to use the same password to log into my iPhone. I've tried multiple times with no success.
