c3 key on external midi keyboard triggers the mix track to ∞db

I've got an external midi keyboard but whenever i play the c3 note, it triggers the mixtrack to ∞db. I've never had this problem before and I can't seem to fix it. The automation also drops to ∞db after pressing the c3 note.

MIDI FOLKS!! Midi being sent back to external instrument being played causing doubling/phasing I'm using a cp88 keyboard (port 1 ch 1) sending midi over usb to logic. I want to record both the midi and the audio at the same time. But whenever I click on the midi track to record midi info I get phasing. I assume whats happening is the midi is going in and straight back out to double play the note. This happens whether is a regular midi track or one using external instrument plugin Is there a way to "mute" the midi outputs while recording. Turning off (power) the track doesn't fix it, nor does turning off the external midi plugin. The only solution I have is to click on a seperate audio track which for some reason records the midi info?? another odd midi thing. Then drag it to the midi track so I can use it for playback. If I switch to port 2 it fixes the phasing problem but then I lose playback??

IAC MIDI feedback loop Heres a weird one, in MainStage the "instantly silence previous patch" sends a control message to the IAC which starts a midi feedback loop. When i turn off the "instantly silence previous patch" it effects the performance in a negative way. Any workarounds that you can think of, or is there a way to filter the Control midi commands going to the IAC? Thanks friends!

Midi Roll comes out too early When I'm recording midi, while playing the sound is just fine, no latency issues, however the midi roll ends up too early on the grid, so even when trying to play right with the click, the resulting midi is always ahead of the beat. I've been trying to adjust the Midi Sync Delay options under Preferences, but with no success. Any idea as to which parameter I should adjust? As a reference I've been trying to use + numbers to get the midi to come out later

Choose Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Controller Assignments, and delete the C3 entry assigned to Volume.
