how do I block offensive text messages without adding their number to my contact list? I told them to stop and got more texts. 19 people according to message.

Proceed as follows:
- Tap on the message in the "Messages" screen of the Messages application.
- The top row should display the telephone number. Tap on the circled "i" in the upper right corner.
- The "Details" screen should appear. Tap on the ">" in the upper right on the row displaying the telephone number.
- Select "Block this Caller" toward the bottom.
