Apple TV 4k and HDMI CEC

Hi all,

I kinda suspect I'm not the only person having this problem, but I'm having issues with the Apple TV 4k and HDMI CEC.

I have the ATV connected directly to my TV via an HDMI 2 cable. The TV is a Philips 55PUS6272.

Specifically, when I enable 'control TV and receiver' on the ATV, hoping that it will seamlessly control the power on my TV I get unusual behaviour. Namely, if the TV & ATV are both powered down and I turn on the ATV then it does power up itself and the TV correctly. Happy! Now if I power down the ATV, it does indeed power down the TV, BUT it doesn't power off itself (it does if I have 'control TV and receiver' turned to off). Which is weird. The ATV finally powers down at some point due to lack of human input (goes to sleep I guess).

Anyone else experience something similar? Is there a fix?

TIA

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), macOS Sierra (10.12.5)
