My MacBook pro doesn't see my Canon LiDE 220

Just replaced my old scanner with the new LiDE 220, but my MacBook running High Sierra doesn't see the scanner. I've installed and reinstalled the latest drivers from Canon, but still nada. Also tried restarting several times. Still nada.
