iTunes can't download episodes from my Feed

I posted a few weeks back about iTunes not being able to download episodes from my RSS feed, http://feeds.feedburner.com/Contrastpod and recieved some advice. I tested this advice out and iTunes still won't download the episodes from my feed with the RSS directly from SoundCloud, http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:174035599/sounds.rss. Despite this fact when I directly apply the RSS feed to the 'add a podcast' section of itunes on my mac it shows up like it should, but won't play or download at all.

Please help, I am completely lost as to what could be the problem, my Professor is starting to get on my a** about it because he's too stubborn to let me do it off of SoundCloud and wanted it last month.

I apologise if I was supposed to continue this off of the other post, I don't know how to get back to it to do so.

Sincerely,

An Overly Stressed University Student

This is caused by an odd effect I've seen before, but I don't know how it arises. The URL of the media file in your top episode is

User uploaded file

(I've had to make it an image because the forum will truncate it). You can see that this is plainly wrong. In fact the actual URL begins at the second 'http' and it's that that you should put in the feed. However when you do this and enter the URL in a browser the file downloads rather than plays in a browser as it should, and this may cause problems. You should go into SoundCloud's settings and set each of your media files not to download.

SoundCloud has an option in the settings dashboard to add a third-party stats URL. I believe you have entered your FeedBurner feed URL into that stats setting. If so, that's an incorrect usage of FeedBurner and it's causing your media file URLs to break. Remove the FeedBurner feed URL from the stats setting field and that should fix the problem.

Others have complained of the same thing: I'm afraid I don't know what you can do about that other than contacting SoundCloud. However it may not matter: it used to cause rejections because the Store couldn't handle it (though subscribing in iTune worked) but I think I've seen cases where it's gone through: so try submitting it and see what happens. You will of course have to amend the URLs first as they are still showing the double URL as I indicated above.
