Drop Zone Image Spatial Conform?

I have a generator with a drop zone. When I use it in FCPX, and I put an image in the drop zone, it acts like FCPX's "Spatial Conform" is set to "Fill". What do I need to do so that an image placed in a drop zone shows using the image's original size?
