macOS hangs on backup

I am trying to back my MBP to external hdd with Time Machine.
It is going to 27GB then entire system stop responding, mouse not moving then black screen.
I am trying few times and the same result after 27GB.

Then I am trying same thing with same hdd on my wife's MBP and everything ok.
So I think it is not an issue with hdd

My environment:

MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.5 15" Mid-2014 (MGXC2)

macOS 10.12.6 with all updates installed

HDD: Seagate Backup Plus Portable 2TB, it is brand new empty and formatted just before backup

Here is log

I would reformat the new backup drive and try again.

Drive Partition and Format - El Capitan or Later

  1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities' folder.
  2. After Disk Utility loads select the backup drive (out-dented entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the side list.
  3. Click on the Erase tab in the Disk Utility toolbar. A panel should drop down.
  4. In the drop down panel set the partition scheme to GUID. Set the Format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.)
  5. Click on the Apply button and click on the Done button when it is activated.
  6. Quit Disk Utility.
