I cannot get the notification sound alert to work on iMessage

iPhone text sound notification not working? Solution here I had this problem and I fixed it by turning off Imessage and all notifications worked as set up. Now I can’t use IMessage, but I get all notifications of texts. It’s a temporary solution to a problem that will hopefully be fixed by apple.

iMessage Notifications When I am using my MacBook Air, I receive a notification on my MacBook for any iMessages but the notification on my phone is delivered without any sound - is this normal? When I am not using my MacBook Air, the iMessage alerts on my iPhone are audible. My guess is this is intended behavior to minimize getting an audible notification on every device simultaneously, but wanted to confirm.

Problem with iMessage after macOS 12.6 up-date. This is a combined problem possibly. Normally, when I receive a message sound notification on my iPhone , the message shows up on my desktop app. This morning I heard the sound, looiked in my app, NOTHING! I messaged a friend to message me. I arrived on my desktop app but recieved no notification sound from phone. Only one number and these things normally are synced. Any thoughts
