How to silent certain messages on watch that are silenced on Ip

On my phone (8) I have my group messages on silent. On my watch (series 3) I have my message notifications as “mirror phone”. Before my watch would not vibrate to alert me about the group messages. Now i can’t seem to stop my watch from vibrating. Its really annoying. How do i fix this? PS: My software is up-to-date

Silencing notifications on Watch I am in a group SMS chat (not iMessage, as there are some Android members). On my iMac and iPhone I can mute notifications for the chat but cannot leave it (because it is not an iMessage chat). My Watch is set to mirror the iPhone with respect to notifications. However, whenever a new message comes in on that chat (which happens all too often during the day) my Watch still gives the audio notification (although the iPhone doesn't). I could silence all audio notifications on the Watch but that's going too far -- it would cut off audio notifications on other messages that I might want to know about. I just want to silence this one chat, and I can do so on the iPhone. Why doesn't the Watch mirror the iPhone and keep silent? (I've resorted to taking the Watch off when I get frustrated with the notifications!)Am I overlooking something?

iPhone not signaling messages Does the Series 7 Watch affect the notification sounds of the iPhone? I have an iPhone 11 Pro, and since syncing my Series 7 Watch with it, my text message notifications are silenced.

iPhone notifications with iWatcg When I first set up my Apple Watch - I would get the notifications on my watch when my phone was locked but my phone alert sound (email, texts, etc) would go off and I loved it. Now when my phone is locked - my watch just vibrates and phone alert sounds no longer go off. I’m active person and don’t always feel vibration on my watch. Any way to get my phone alert sounds back while my watch is connected? It currently only goes off when my phone is unlocked.
