Question: security

I was reading a tech journal and noticed somebody was flogging a box to hack iphones

so the question is, i have a SE phone with iOS 11.2.6 and I was wondering if it is safe from government intrusion?

the latest box claims to break into the phone, this could be used to access personal information, so how are they getting around the PIN lock which wipes the phone after 10 tries.

the phone will still be blacklisted with find my phone so black market use is useless

iPhone SE, iOS 11.2.6, 64GB

All I know is that this box uses the lightning port, but I cannot see how anything is going to get past the security.

So I am wondering, since the 5C was hacked, the finger reader has to be at least as good as AES256 for hard to crack
