Facetime Issues

I am in a long distance relationship and facetime is the only way we can communicate via video call, it was completely find until a few days ago, when she came back from vacation and all of a sudden we called and every 2-5 minutes we would get 'reconnecting' pop up on the screen and it would end the call. Then we started trying to call each other and we would get 'connecting' then 'call failed'.

We've tried everything from updating to newest IOS to resetting our routers to resetting our network settings, everything that has been shown on the facetime troubleshooting forum we have tried and yet nothing works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
