If you have accepted the invite, then have the Organizer look under Settings>their name>Family Sharing>iCloud Storage to see if your name is showing up under the Family Members list. If it is, then you are accessing that Family storage. You don't have to change anything on your part.

And on your device, you have iCloud Sharing turned on just below your name?
Also, are you currently on a paid plan or just the free one? How long ago did you accept the invitation to Share iCloud storage? Have you tried signing out of iCloud and back in again to see if that rectifies the situation?

Nothing will be lost by just signing out and then back in again. If you are using iCloud Photo Library (which it doesn't sound like you are if you were only using the 5GB free iCloud), it can take a while to re-download your photos.
But it doesn't sound like that is a concern in this situation. Everything else will re-sync once you have signed back into iCloud.

Yes I’m on his info and he’s on mine. My iCloud still only shows 5gb.
