App purchases are being declined even though I've update my card

I am trying to make an ingame purchase and my purchase is being declined. When I ask for the details, I get a card I am no longer using. It isn't even IN my Apple Wallet anymore, but neither was any other card. So I added the card I wanted to use, set it to primary, tried the purchase again. The purchase failed again. The details of the failed transaction: The same old defunct card as before I updated. What is in my wallet, the information for the correct and verified proper card, is not being sent to the app store, rather the old, faulty information from the defunct card is. So the purchase fails. Every time. I tried to Google up a solution to this with no luck.

iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 11.2.6
