4K video shows up as 1080p on macbook!!

i shoot a 4K video on my iPhone, and when i airdrop the video file to my macbook, it will only show up as 1080p. opening my 4K video in iMovie on my iPhone does the same thing too. please help.

when I upload media from my Mac to imovie the video glitches I take videos from my phone and airdrop them to my computer, when they are airdroped they are in good shape and i usually keep them short. However when i upload them to iMovie to edit, the video has glitches through the whole video.

exporting in 4k in iMovie Hello. I have a few questions related to exporting movies in 4k. One video was shot completely in 4K, but it is not giving me the option to export at this level. Any tips? Another video was shot with partially 4k and partially on an iPhone 6s (not sure what resolution). I am wondering if it is possible to export these videos at the highest quality they were shot in. Is it possible to keep part of the video in 4k and the other in whatever it was shot in? Rather than loosing quality in the stuff that was shot in 4k...

Can't export 5760x2880 It looks like this has been covered before, but no solution works for me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250430782 My project has custom settings of 5760x2880: I am able to work on my movie just fine in this resolution, but when I go to share the video as a master file, the highest resolution is 4096x2048: The reason I need 5760x2880 is because this is a 360 degree video and this is the native resolution -- it will be imported into a 360 degree editing program (Insta360 Studio 2020) where I will complete the project and export to 1920x1080. But it's important to get that 5760x2880 resolution while I'm working on it. Any tips on how to export from Final Cut Pro at 5760x2880? Thanks!
