Try running it while booted into Safe Mode.

i have the install mac osx high sierra app i downloaded it from the app storeUser uploaded filewhen i click open nothing happens i have tried re downloading it and restarting my mac it still does not open when i check for software update it says their are no updates but my mac is not high sierra so their is aUser uploaded fileupdate it says no updates available so please help me


that is all it is just not opening

A couple things. First that doesn't look like the correct icon for the High Sierra installer which looks like this…

What size is the file you posted? It should be about 5GB.

Are you on an admin account?

Try running installer from the Terminal, this way you will see installer complains in more details, than if necessary post output here.


/Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall
