Microphones sound awful on many messaging apps, but on voice recording app and phone calls, all mics work fine.

Hey. I just got an iPhone 6s Plus running the latest iOS 11.2.6. When buying the phone we tested the microphones we called people and recorded things.. all worked fine and still does using the Apple voice recording app, and th microphones work on speaker mode in normal phone calls.

But when it comes to using messaging apps just as Skype, telegram, FaceTime, the the microphone quality is simply awful - sometimes. When doing a FaceTime call on Skype or FaceTime the quality is awful,

The video calls use the top front microphone near the selfie camera.. the same microphone that the phone uses in speakerphone mode which on a normal call sounds absolutely fine.

and recording a voice message on telegram (which uses bottom mic) that is dreadful sometimes, but can be okay for 1 or 2 messages after restarting the phone.

I do not understand this problem because this is the same microphone as the voice recording app uses and that still sounds perfect.

And the reat microphone works great too for videos.

Basically I have tested all three mics and they work perfectly. But on various messaging apps they sound dreadful and very badly muffled. No idea what do to. Tried doing research and closest thing I could see were posts from 2015 with a sulimilar issue but no resolution.

I did all the things I could think of such as restarting phone, resetting settings, resetting phone to factory settings. After doing this the mic worked for. Little while in telegram and then stopped again. But normal calls will sound great for the listener.

Any help much appreciated!
