i had a problem with my iPhone 5c the 'app store' vanished I'm using OS 10.3.3 . I recovered the app by using the backup from my iMac but wonder if their was a sinister reason for the loss. I had also received funny email supposedly from GOOGLE around same time.
Have you any restrictions enabled? (Settings>General>Restrictions)
Check everything is related to AppStore.... they should be enabled...

all restrictions are set green, although i may have altered some recently from MAC OS advice on save battery settings
