A load of complete rubbish!

I have used iTunes for many years without many problems but version 12.7.2 has got to be THE worst version ever! I unfortunately deleted all of my husbands albums whilst trying to add just one simple track-I didn't realise you had to come out of iTunes completely when changing from the 'Sync my files (or whatever)' to 'Manual Manage'-I clicked the Man Manage and thought it would work, but no-thats when it removed every single bit of music my dear husband had on his iPhone and he had loads of albums, so Give had to manually restore them and this is where iTunes fails to put the tracks in the right place. I'm making sure I've got the correct album title and artists name etc but it's sticking them anywhere! it's taking me hours to try and sort it out, but think I'm getting there.....eventually.

I never had any bother at all before in adding albums/tracks so wonder if the 'marvellous' programmers have dropped a rick with their programming??!

Anyone else having similar problems?

thanks

There would have been a helpful warning message alerting you to the news that what you were about to do would remove the existing content from the device and replace it with your new selections. You would have had an opportunity to cancel. Far and away the easiest way to manage things is to set up one or more playlists in iTunes that will be copied to the device. You can update these whenever you wish, then connect the device to sync it and bring it up to date. If you ever need to restore a device or replace it all of the media selections come back automatically.
