My FaceID was disabled by Apple. Reason was they detected problem with true depth camera. This has reeked havoc on me. I cannot reset it. I am totally ****** off. They tell me I have to go to Apple store. That is not in any way convenient. How dare they! This is so overreaching.

If there's a problem with the device and it's under warranty then they will fix or replace it. Just use your passcode until you the time to go to an Apple Store is more convenient. Just make sure to make an appointment first.

"They" didn't make a decision and that message wasn't sent out from Apple, it is from your iPhone. A hardware problem has been discovered with the camera by the iPhone itself and that is the error message. It is not different than if your car discovered an error with your airbags and disabled them with an alert.
