Question: Cannot connect ios11.2.6 devices to Exchange with self-signed certificate
Running internal Exchange server for ~100 accounts. We are starting to have employees getting new iPhones running IOS 11.2.6. Because our Exchange uses a self-signed certificate, these new iPhones cannot connect.
For the past few IOS versions, it's been getting more and more tricky, but at least there was a trick.
With IOS 11.2.6, we have managed to install the certificate using the method of getting the .crt file copied/downloaded to the phone and then installing it by tapping on the file.
What we cannot do is enable the trust of the certificate. The setting that worked in IOS10 (go to the setting General -> About -> Certificate Trust Settings and enable full trust for your certificate there) does not exist.
The annual IT budget is tight enough that paying annually for registered certificates is not really an acceptable solution.
Has anyone found the latest trick for trusting self-signed Exchange certificates? Any help is appreciated.
