Speak Screen is reading page numbers in iBooks

I am trying to use Speak Screen on iBooks. It worked great before the latest update. Now, at the end of each page, if there is a page number, it just reads it and then reads the rest of the page numbers.

iPhone 6, iOS 11.2.6

Spoken content feature not reading highlighted section (PDF) I have been trying to get the "spoken content" feature working and I am having difficulties using it while in a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader. No matter where I highlight, it will always starts from the beginning of the page. Spoken content works fine in other applications. Starts where it's highlighted but won't cooperate with a PDF. I know there is a "read out loud" feature in Adobe as well, but it is doing the same thing. I was hoping apple's would function correctly. I do keep my computer up to date with software. Right now I am using Big Sur version 11.1

Where is my dictation function? Over the weekend my Mac Mini (OS 12.4) seems to have forgotten how to take dictation. Last week I dictated freely into Word (v. 16.62). Today, though neither Word nor Pages (v. 12.1) records my dictation. In Word I do not see any indication as to what the problem is. But in Pages I do not see the dictation tool in the Edit menu. I have seen that tool before. It is not there now. I did not change any settings in my computer over the weekend. What would make the dictation tool disappear from Pages?
