Apple TV entry via iPHONE 8 keyboard

Hello,

How many conversations started with “used to work but...”?

My pop-up keyboard (pictured) no longer allows me to type on my television, but instead, prompts me (pictured) to sync with iTunes.

Unsure what changed what used to work.

I haven’t changed routers; both phone and ATV are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Note: I don’t recall having to be tied in to one’s iTunes unless ‘remote’ is being used to play iTunes content....

I’m just in this scenario trying to use my phone to make entries on ATV prompts.

That is a different app, as the name suggests it is for controlling iTunes. If you don’t need that then best to delete it.

The pop up notification isn’t tied to the app, Make sure you have the Apple TV remote app installed.

Ty, but I guess I haven’t made my point clearly 😞

I can’t get the iPhone pop up keyboard to make entires on my ATV. The OTHER app, the remote.. seems to think I’m trying to use that.

I want the keyboard function to work (w/o deleting the remote AP I use for said iTunes.., that erroneously thinks I’m trying to as described).

Yes, you did make your point clear. As I stated, the keyboard pop up isn't connected to the app. Do you actually have the Apple TV remote app installed (the iTunes remote app is not the same thing) and have you tried manually going into the Apple TV remote app?
